A Tansy is essentially a baked egg dish (either savoury or sweet) and derives its name from a species of plant called Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) which was regularly used as a kitchen ingredient for its somewhat bitter, spicy, flavour.
Today, tansy is NOT recommended as a food ingredient as it contains carcinogenic constituents. The recipe below is for illustrative purposes only. If you would like to make something similar replace the tansy ingredient with ginger.
