Cooking with Weeds - food inspiration from edible weeds

Weeds in the Kitchen

A Tansy is essentially a baked egg dish (either savory or sweet) and derives its name from a species of plant called Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) which was regularly used as a kitchen ingredient for its somewhat bitter, spicy, flavor.

Today, tansy is NOT recommended as a food ingredient as it contains carcinogenic constituents. The recipe below is for illustrative purposes only. If you would like to make something similar replace the tansy ingredient with ginger.
